Obituary

Sharon Lynn Weed (nee Keenapple) 61, died December 18,2018 at her residence in Millersville, MD. Sharon was born November 23, 1957 in Scranton PA. and moved to Odenton in 1962. A 1975 graduate of Arundel High School , she attended Anne Arundel Community College and San Antonio College. A longtime daycare provider, Sharon also worked as a Dental Assistant. She was a 1st Soprano having performed for 8 years with the National Choir and their ensemble 2nd edition. She also sang the National Anthem at the Baltimore Blast games. On a tour of Israel she was honored to sing at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Lazarus’Tomb. Sharon sang solos and in the choirs of several churches locally and in San Antonio. She led children’s choirs at various churches and along with special friends was able to lead children in performing musicals. In addition to her church activities, she loved to garden, especially her beautiful flower beds and was an avid crafter,( wreaths, baskets) and special mementos for family and friends. Sharon is survived by her husband, David Glenn Weed, whom she married September 4,1976, her mother, Vera Keenapple, a brother, Kevin Keenapple and his wife Lisa and a sister, Suzanne Sartwell. Also survived by 6 nieces. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Russell Keenapple, her maternal grandparents, George and Mabel Walters, her paternal grandparents, Authur and Florence Keenapple. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Hardesty Funeral Home P.A. 851 Annapolis Road Gambrills, MD 21054. A memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday December 22nd in the Severna Park Baptist Church 506 Benfield Road Severna Park, MD. Interment private at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
