Obituary

Beverly June Hills Curtis, 86, Annapolis, MD went to be with her Lord on July 17, 2018.

She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Herbert and Gladys Granger Hills on May 3, 1932.

After growing up in Utah, Beverly met her husband, Bill, at the University of Utah where she obtained a BA degree in Physical Education. Later she received a Master's Degree in Education from Bowie State College in MD and a Washington Bible College, non-degree certificate.

Beverly taught every age from preschool to college. She especially liked teaching young children to read with the phonics method and 5th and 6th grade science. She coached different sports teams and taught physical education. She was a water safety certified swimming instructor and lifeguard. Her teaching also included Sunday School classes and Good News Clubs.

She and her husband founded ISBR - Institute for Scientific and Biblical Research in Lancaster, PA . They also enjoyed cycling together and she competed in the Sr. Olympics.

Beverly was a creative woman with interests in sewing, knitting, crafts, writing, decorating, gardening, piano.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a very friendly outgoing person, always thinking of creative thoughtful things to do for her family and others, a faithful christian and a totally devoted wife.

Her family loves her deeply and will miss her very much:

Preceded in death by husband Dr. William M. Curtis III (2011), son-in-law Stephen Bagley and brother Herbert and wife Lois Moffat Hills.

Survived by: Children: Cindee Bagley, William (Barbara) Curtis and Tammie (Charles) Radcliffe.

Siblings: Louis (Kay) Hills, David (Carolyn) Hills, and Nancy (William) Lamps.

Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Andrew (Jennifer) and Jacob Curtis, Christopher (Christine), Charles and Caylee Radcliffe, Jonathan Curtis, Galen (Sara), Brantley and Delaney Curtis, and Kelsey Radcliffe.

Memorial Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bowie, July 28, 1:30 pm, 2807 Church Rd. Bowie, MD. Burial in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, near Lancaster PA.
