William M. Farkas, Jr., 79 of MD died Tuesday February 12th. He was born in Toledo, OH on February 16, 1939, son of the late William Farkas and Adeline Krause. He is survived by his daughters Amy Andrews (Scott Andrews) and Wendy Mineff (Joseph Mineff) and 3 grandchildren, Hannah, Alex and Adam. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Farkas. Bill was a carpenter by trade. He was a large fan of music and was a member of the Maumee Demons Drum and Bugle Corps and had his own band where he played trumpet and flugelhorn. He was a member of The Toledo Turners and could often be found playing with his band at the German American Festivals and other venues around the Toledo, OH area. Both Bill and Pat followed their daughters around the country during their drum corps days and eventually settled in Maryland to be close to them and their grandchildren.
