Jan Barber Finn, 69, a resident of Silver Spring and previously of Annapolis, Germantown, TN, Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Toledo, OH, passed peacefully May 7th at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore surrounded by loving family.

Mrs. Finn was born September 13th, 1949 in Toledo, OH. She attended school at Chicago Institute of Art, Anne Arundel Community College and was a graduate of Start High School in Toledo, Ohio.

She previously worked as an interior designer and graphic designer and worked on projects for International Paper, The Embassy of Jamaica and The Embassy of Kazakhstan.

She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, painting and drawing and loved the ocean, the water and loved the Beach Boys and Motown music.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Finn, brothers Pete and Jack Barber as well as her sisters Margaret Barber, and Carol Gilbert.

Survivors include her son Jonathan Barber of Silver Spring, stepsons Anthony Finn and Matthew Finn of Annapolis; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Guevara of Baltimore, Debbie McNutt of Detroit, Mich. and daughter-in-law Shannon Harris of Silver Spring, sisters-in-law Mary Ann Barber, Laura Barber, Claudia Finn, Karen Finn, brothers-in-law Ron and Michael Finn and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN where Jan previously spent many hours volunteering.
