Mary Frances Woodbury, 83, a resident of Annapolis for six years and previously of Waynesboro, Va., died of complications from Alzheimer's disease April 21 at Skyway Manor I Assisted Living after an illness lasting 13 years.

Mrs. Woodbury was born May 20, 1925, in Rocky Mount, N.C., to the late Harvey Guy and Leona Robbins Pittman.

She worked for Eastern Airlines in Charlotte, N.C., and Union Home Loan in Springfield, Va., and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Crofton and Waynesboro Country Clubs and was a Presbyterian. She was active in her community, volunteering with Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer Foundation and charity golf events.

She was an inventor, and enjoyed travel and especially golf.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Woodbury; and two sisters, Mildred McLemore and Pearl Womble.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail Turner of Crownsville and Marcia Thomas of Gloucester, Va.; one brother, Harvey Pittman of Nashville, N.C.; one sister, Peggy Wrenn of Nashville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
