Linda Alia Simmont, 51, of Pasadena, died Aug. 18 after a fall off a dock near her home. She had been a quadraplegic since 2000 after a fall from a horse and had been using a wheelchair since that time.

Born Oct. 26, 1953 in Maryland, Ms. Simmont had lived in Pasadena for 18 years.

She was a self-employed business woman in the health insurance business up until the time of her accident. She enjoyed nature, animals and spending time with her daughters.

Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Cammarano and Alexis Simmont, both of Pasadena; two stepdaughters, Anna Simmont of Maryland and Nori Warren of Glen Burnie; three brothers, Tim and Curtis Leonard and Jody Leonard of Pasadena; one sister, Lauren Leonard of Pasadena; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Helen Leonard.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 333 Dubois Road, Annapolis.
