Lee Anderson II, 66, a resident of Annapolis for 21 years, died April 24 at the Mandrin Hospice House in Harwood after a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Washington, DC, to the late Lee Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Carr Anderson, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was later awarded the Purple Heart. Lee was employed as a loan officer with Generation Mortgage of GA. A member of the NRA, he was a fan of sports, especially the Redskins and Nationals, and enjoyed golf, softball, gardening and spending time at the seashore. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Anderson, whom he married Nov. 21, 1982; and two children, Aaron and Christin, both of the home. A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at the Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 12 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis MD 21403.
