Obituary

Spencer Poore, 90 ,passed away peacefully at his home in Odenton on January 8,2019. Born, Jerome Spencer Poore to James Spencer Poore and Lottie Margaret (Pokorny) Poore, Spencer was the owner/operator of Poore’s towing. His favorite past time in earlier days was racing cars. He loved antique tractors. He was a member of the Anne Arundel County Antique Tractor Club and volunteered during the Fair to help run the saw mill. He also volunteered to operate the saw mill at Tuckahoe State Park for their annual July event. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey “Catherine” Poore, his eldest son, Jerome Spencer Poore Jr.,his sister, Mary Ann Brown and his brother Johnny Poore. He is survived by two sons, Larry Poore (Linda), William Walsh (Kathy); two step daughters, Betty Tucker and Anna Christ (Larry); one step son Irving King. Also survived by two sisters, Cathy Fleshman and Josephine Hardesty. Friends may call on Friday January 11 from 12 to 1 pm at the Hardesty Funeral Home P.A. 851 Annapolis Road Gambrills, MD where services will begin at 1 pm. Entombment at Lakemont Cemetery.
