Born August 30th 1933, Passed to Jesus November 26th 2018. Survived by wife Charlene and brother William Crosley; three children Rhea, Judy and Dorr; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Fred honorably served in the Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
Later Fred became an International Trade Specialist for the U.S. Department of Commerce. He was lead on organizing major businesses like G.E. who followed him to trade missions in the Soviet Bloc countries. This strategic free market leadership was a part in bringing down the Soviet Union wall ending the cold war. As a father he was an anchor to what is good and noble in the sight of God and man. For over 30 years, Fred and Charlene served with Gideon International passing out bibles to local businesses and doctors offices and ministering at the prison. They were known to ask servers in restaurants if they had any prayer need. They always gave a Bible and a generous tip. He is a great man from a great generation and we are sure the Lord will put him to good use in heaven. Our family praises and thanks God for such a wonderful dad.
A memorial service and celebration of Fred’s life will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 2 PM at Grace EP Church, 4012 Birdsville Road, Davidsonville, MD. Private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Sligo, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon International Processing Center, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
