Evelyn Jane Foster Woolford, 90, a resident of Davidsonville for 21 years and formerly of Annapolis, died of natural causes Nov. 22 at home after a brief illness.

Born April 7, 1914, in Westminster, Mrs. Woolford worked at The Tea Room at Reads Drugs and Chemical in Baltimore and the Mirror Grill in Annapolis. She also worked in the Annapolis Junior High School cafeteria as assistant manager.

On July 11, 1934, she married Jethro T. "Jack" Woolford, who died in 1983.

She was owner and operator, along with her husband, of Jack's Garage in Annapolis for many years.

Mrs. Woolford was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and the former Edwards Chapel. She was known for her Christmas baking of fruitcakes, and date and nut bars. Among her other interests were gardening, cooking and collecting cookbooks and teapots.

She was the sister of the late Edna Armstrong.

Surviving are one daughter, Jacklyn Woolford Hardesty of Edgewater; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
