Obituary

Eugene Allen Mobley Jr passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from congestive heart failure. Gene, as he was known, was born in Albert Lee, Minnesota on October 16, 1952. In his younger years, Gene was a standout athlete in football and wrestling.

He met and married his high school sweetheart, Susan Mobley, at Annapolis High School; they shared 38 wonderful years together.
He had a true love for learning, attending and receiving degrees from Hamlin University, American University, University of Minnesota, and Southeastern College. Gene was owner and proprietor of The Way big and tall men's store in Annapolis, Maryland.

After many successes in business, he followed his God given calling, and moved his family to Daytona Beach, Florida, where he pastored Christ the King Church for 20 years.

He also founded many outreach programs in the area and abroad, his favorite being Camp Destiny. In his later years he and Susan moved back to their hometown, Annapolis, Maryland to be closer to extended family.

He is remembered by his wife: Susan, children: Michelle and Eugene III, siblings: Jolene, CJ, Joan, and Raymond, grandchild: Raymond, in addition many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday November 5, 2011 from 1-3 PM when services will begin at 3:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church 1300 West Street Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment will be private.
