Eleanor Jane Swiderski, 64, of Windsor, Vt., and previously of Annapolis, died of breast cancer Jan. 22 at her daughter's home in Millersville.

Born April 15, 1942, in Baltimore, Mrs. Swiderski was the daughter of Dolores A. Smith of Baltimore and the late Robert H. Smith. She graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame in Baltimore in 1960 and received a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from the former Mount St. Agnes College in 1964.

During her early years in health care, she was a medical technician at Maryland General Hospital, Fallston General Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital in the Baltimore area.

While living in Annapolis from 1984 to 1992 she worked in real estate, at the Maryland General Assembly and the Annapolis Yacht Club and for Weems and Platt in Eastport. During the past 15 years, while performing many different assignments, she coordinated the Women's Wellness Program and was secretary for oncology at Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor.

She enjoyed her grandchildren and maintained close ties with her high school and college classmates and career friends. She was known for winning television word or card games.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Edward Swiderski, whom she married in 1964; three daughters, Laura Ebeling of New Market, Kate Gayhardt of Millersville and Claire Swiderski of Centreville; one sister, Maureen Collins of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.
