You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone. A small hole was created in the universe on October 15, 2017 when Donna Dudley Belmont unexpectedly passed away from an heart attack. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Donna was born on May 20, 1953, in Takoma Park, MD. She grew up with her family in Montgomery County. She is survived by her husband Bob, her two sons Danny and Kenny, her son-in-law Michael, her brother Tommy (wife Valerie), and her sisters Carol (husband Blaine) and Coleen (husband Petie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews,great-nieces and great-nephews. Her father Tom passed in 2011, her mother Doris passed in 2013, and her sister Jo Ellen passed in 2015.

Donna was an avid walker, foodie, bowler, tennis player, bingo player, and she loved the beach, the Beatles, Elton John, Judge Judy and Dr. Oz, among others. Most prominently though, she adored her kids and her family. She was warm, friendly, loving, and nurturing. She had a positive outlook and an abundance of energy for all things. She was “the world’s oldest teenager”.

After attending Elizabeth Seton High School she graduated from Wheaton High School in 1972. Two years after graduation she moved to Florida, returning in 1976. She met Bob in 1979 and they were married in May 1980. She worked for the Federal Government (HHS) until 1981when she quit for the birth of her first son Danny. In 1987, her son Kenny was born. She returned to work in 1991, working for Petrucci’s, Annapolis Comedy Club, and Kauffmans. She also worked for Ryland, the DAR, G&G outfitters, the American Cancer Society, and, lastly, Anne Arundel County Public Schools. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Red Cross or Susan B. Komen.
