Beverly Kramer Zaino, 80, a longtime Annapolis businesswoman, died Sept. 4 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.

For 47 years, Mrs. Zaino owned and operated Beverly's Stationery, a retail store which over the years had three different locations on West Street. She was an authority on etiquette, invitations and announcements and worked with generations of Annapolitans in handling wedding, party and business stationery needs.

She was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Annapolis and graduated from Annapolis High School. She attended the University of Maryland.

Mrs. Zaino was a member of Congregation Kneseth Israel, its Sisterhood, the National Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, and the Brandeis University Women.

Survivors include one daughter, Janis Charkow of Cranbury, N.J.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margie Freedenberg of Silver Spring. Her husband of 60 years, Albert Zaino, died in 2004.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Kneseth Israel Synagogue with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
