Obituary

Longtime resident of Annapolis, Adele Peake Rubin, passed away of natural causes on July 6, 2014.
She was 97.

One of seven children, she was born in Baltimore on January 1, 1917. In 1936, she married Max. E. Rubin and moved to Annapolis where they opened Little Photo Studio, which eventually moved to 10 Francis Street.
A natural and prolific artist, she was very active in several local organizations including the Colonial Players where she was a director of makeup for many years. As a member of Kneseth Israel, she was also very active in designing sets for productions.
In later years, she enjoyed traveling overseas with her family and with her best friend, Julia.
Predeceased by her husband, Max, of 53 years and youngest daughter, Saralee Peacock, she is survived by three daughters, Barbara R. Schlossman of Annapolis, Eve A. Noon, of Princeton, NJ, and Madeleine R. Knoll of Crofton, eight grandchildren and five great grandsons.
