Reginald Bernard Chew is the first born child unto Bernard (deceased) and Nellie Chew on July 3, 1943 in Washington, DC
Reggie, as he affectionately was called, always loved helping people and working. He became a paper boy at a very young age, and went on to work at a flower shop and service station. He later began a career at the United States Postal Service in 1967. Reggie retired in 2016 with 49 years and three months of service. Reggie loved God, his wife and family, his neighbors and friends. He was a 1962 graduate of Eastern High School in Washington, DC. His passions were fishing and vanning and he won numerous awards with his show van. He was also a die-hard Washington Redskins fan.
Reggie was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Vincent; his sister Barbara; another brother Jessie, and his daughter Regina.
Reggie leaves to cherish his memory a very loving and devoted wife, Asuncion; one loving son, David of Las Vegas, NV; a very loving sister, Joyce of Clinton, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He also has two loving and devoted nephews, Arnold and Andre Chew from Maryland; a very loving and devoted sister in law, Jackye Chew of Miami, FL; and special loving friends Diane Leifter, Greg and Mary Proctor, Jerry Shallenberger and Ingrid Charles, all of Crofton, MD.
