Obituary

William Paul "Bill" Alark, 60, a resident of Annapolis for 15 years, died of cancer May 12 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born July 10, 1944, in Baltimore, Mr. Alark attended Baltimore City College, Catonsville Community College, Anne Arundel Community College and Boston University.

He served on active duty in the Army from 1967 to 1969 and the Army Reserve from 1969 to 1973.

He retired in 2000 from the Social Security Administration where he began work in 1966. He was supervisor of the administrative analyst section for computer operations at the time of his retirement. He then worked for United Airlines until 2002 as a customer service representative and part time for Home Depot.

Among his interests were power boats, model cars, boats and planes, jazz music, travel, golf and baseball.

He was the son of the late Madge Ordway.

Surviving are his wife Olga D. Feliciano Alark, whom he married July 20, 1980.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. in Annapolis. Burial is private.
