Susan Viehdorfer Kellogg, 68, a resident of Gambrills for 30 years and previously of East Hartford, CT, died October 15 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after suffering from a 20-year illness of cardiac arrest. She was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Hartford, CT, and was a high school graduate. She was employed as an Army Community Services Volunteer from 1965 to 1980, at Arbatron Rating from 1980 to 1992, as a proof reader at Tower Federal Credit Union from 1992 to 2000, and as a budget consultant. She established homes for her family in 13 places around the world while assisting other military families. A member of All Hallows Parish in Davidsonville, she enjoyed sewing and teaching English to foreign students. From 1963 to 1965, she also taught native parents in Ethiopia how to make baby food using locally available fruits and vegetables. She is survived by her husband, Robert Harley Kellogg III, whom she married Feb. 23, 1963; son, Michael T. Kellogg of Jessup; two daughters, Pamela S.K. Thomas and Sharon L. Kellogg, both of Nottingham; two sisters, Mary E.V. Frank of St. Michaels and Joan E. Roller of Cape Code, MA; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 20 at All Hallows Chapel, 864 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville. Interment All Hallows Chapel Cemetery.
