Obituary

Salem Milbourne Woolford, 85, of Annapolis, died October 19 at his residence due to cancer.
He was born December 4, 1926 in Shady Side to the late Phillip and Madge Avery Woolford. Salem attended Annapolis High School. He was a U.S. Ar
my veteran of World War II. He was owner of Woolford's Garage for 25 years, then worked for Katcef Brothers until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting and boating.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Phillip, Elmore, Lucille and Leslie.
He is survived by his wife, Margy Finkle Woolford, whom he married in 1949; daughter, Susan M. Woolford Corwith and husband James of Odenton; brother, Daniel Woolford of Annapolis; two sisters, Irma Smith of Crownsville and Mary Ann Whay of Easton.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Hardesty Funeral Home P.A., 12 Ridgely Ave., Annapolis. Interment private.
