Obituary

Margaret Jean Kleeberg Asquith, 65, a resident of Cape St. Claire for 39 years, died Nov. 22 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1941, in Annapolis, and the daughter of the late Albert and Georgiana Kleeberg, Mrs. Asquith attended St. Mary's Elementary School and Annapolis High School. She worked as a daycare provider and enjoyed country life and her second home in West Virginia.

Her interests included crafts, needlepoint, shopping and collecting antiques.

On Dec. 21, 1968, she married Harry Richard Asquith Sr., who died July 21. She was the sister of the late Mary L. Kauffman.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Mattison of Edgewater and Harry Asquith Jr. of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two daughters, Roxanne Waddell of Pedro, Ohio, and Lisa Maxey of Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Bill Kleeberg Sr. of Annapolis; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave., where the funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be made to www.hardestyfuneralhome.com.
