Obituary

Lillian Adamecz Lillian J. (Cox) Adamecz, 89, died February 24 of natural causes at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Lillian was born in Annapolis May 31, 1923. Her hobbies included caring for her family, arts and crafts, bingo and cooking. She also enjoyed crabbing and fishing with her brothers, and sharing her love of the water with her children. She was the last remaining sibling of 13 brothers and sisters, and was preceded in death this past September when her husband of 65 years, John W. Adamecz Sr. (Jack), died. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Cook, three sons, Jack Jr., Ron and Myron, and their spouses, Sam, Bonnie, Maureen and Donna. Lillian is also survived by five grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, and 2 great great-grand children. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, February 28, at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave., Annapolis. Burial at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1080 Sunrise Beach Rd. Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcome at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD. 21403.
