Obituary

Joseph Paul Andrzejewski Jr., 67, a 6-year resident of Elk Garden, WV and formerly a 61-year resident of Millersville, died March 17 at Potomac Valley Hospital due to heart failure.
Joseph was born May 6, 1944 in Baltimore to Ella Virginia and Joseph Paul Andrzejewski. He retired as a U.S. Navy Chief Petty
Officer after 25 years in the U.S. Navy, then retired from CSX railroad after 31 years of service. Joseph was a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge and Holy Name Society. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, riding four wheelers, golf and softball.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Andrzejeski.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Alice Andrzejewski (Close); five sons, Joseph Andrzejewski, Jerry Andrzejewski, Milton Close, Anthony Close and Richard Close; three brothers, Steven, Robert and George Andrzejewski; three sisters, Diane Rose, Mary Petherbridge and Sally Underwood; 14 grandchildren, and six great-
grandchildren.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Hardesty Funeral Home PA, Gambrills. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m., Thursday at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave., South Millersville. Interment Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church cemetery.
