Fred Arnold

Fred Albert "Buddy" Arnold, 76, of Upper Marlboro, died of heart failure May 2 at the Crofton Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Arnold was born April 9, 1931, in Capitol Heights. He retired in 1996 after working 27 years as a clerk at Seven Summers liquor store in Upper Marlboro.

He enjoyed wrestling, football, baseball and horse racing.

Surviving are one son, Fred Albert Arnold II of Bellefonte, Pa; and three sisters, Thelma Wayson of Harwood, Florence Brookman of Edgewater and Winnie Colby of Arlington, Va. He was the brother of the late Donald, Walter, Daniel and Alta Arnold.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave., where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
